James Liu is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend and frontend development across several prestigious companies. Currently, as a Senior Software Engineer at GitLab since May 2022, James contributes to the Gitaly team focused on the Gitaly Cluster, a distributed Git storage system. Prior to this role, James worked at Culture Amp, addressing platform-wide scaling issues, and at Zendesk, enhancing the API experience for customers. Previous positions include software development roles at IBM iX and IBM, as well as experience in UX research and customer service at ANZ and National Australia Bank.
