Nikki Shechtman, PhD, is an experienced professional in education research and user experience, with a career spanning from 2002 to the present. At SRI International, Nikki served as a Senior Education Researcher focusing on EdTech and improving educational outcomes for underserved populations. As the Director of Evaluation at Stanford University, Nikki led the development of the "IDEAL Grad Student Diversity Resource & Data Portal," which received acclaim across the university's departments. Nikki continued to enhance expertise in user experience as a Senior User Experience Researcher at VMware and later as the User Experience Research Lead for Google’s ChromeOS Education team. Currently, Nikki works as a Senior UX Researcher in Security & Compliance at GitLab. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD in Psychology from Stanford University.
