Senior Director, Guest Experience at Give Kids The World

As senior director, guest experience, Shaun O'Brien is responsible for anticipating and exceeding the expectations of every visiting wish family at Give Kids The World Village from pre-arrival to departure through the effective and efficient use of all resources.

Previously he served as director of the guest experience, where he managed the customization of more than 8,000 wish family visits annually to ensure unique, personalized moments and memories of a lifetime for every guest. He joined Give Kids The World in 2004, rising from a member of the outside services team to senior coordinator of support services, and then director of guest services. Other experience includes serving as a dive safety officer with SeaWorld, where he trained all dive staff at SeaWorld Orlando, SeaWorld San Antonio, TX, Discovery Cove, Aquatica Orlando, and Aquatica San Antonio, TX, and instructed all Orlando parks staff on CPR, First Aid, AED and water rescue; and as district driving supervisor for United Parcel Service in South Portland, Maine.

Shaun supports a number of nonprofit organizations including Canine Companions for Independence, Habitat for Humanity, and Second Harvest Food Bank, among others. He is a PADI-certified SCUBA instructor.
