Ellen Fitton

Ellen Fitton is currently the Director of Internal Audit at GiveDirectly, responsible for managing a large international team focused on mitigating risks related to the delivery of financial assistance to impoverished individuals. Prior to this role, Ellen Fitton held multiple positions at Street Child from 2014 to 2023, including East & South Africa Representative and Uganda Country Representative, overseeing program operations and strategic initiatives in several African countries. Ellen's earlier experience includes leadership roles at Student for Kids International Project (SKIP) Cardiff and Chernobyl Children Lifeline, where skills in program management and funding acquisition were developed. Ellen Fitton holds a Master's degree in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cardiff University.
