Dirk Steinwand is currently the Head of Program Sustainability Standards and Public-Private Responsibility at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, a position held since 2017. Previously, Dirk served as the Head of Program Agricultural and Rural Finance at GIZ from 2013 to 2021 and worked as a Microfinance Program Coordinator at GTZ from 2004 to 2008. Dirk also held roles at Bank Indonesia as a Microfinance Advisor from 1992 to 1996 and at KfW as a Senior Projektmanager for Financial and Private Sector Asia from 2008 to 2013. Dirk is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance and Banking at the Free University Berlin.
