Florian Doerr currently serves as an Indigenous Peoples' rights and Biodiversity Advisor at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since July 2023, advising the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Prior experience includes roles at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as a programme management and resource mobilization specialist in the Indigenous Peoples Unit, where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning, communications, and advocacy, as well as serving as an Innovation Programme Specialist.
