Johannes Wagner

Johannes Wagner is an experienced portfolio and program manager with a focus on international development, currently serving as Portfolio Manager at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH since February 2023. Previously, Johannes held the position of Program Manager at WeWorld Onlus from June 2022 to February 2023, overseeing multiple projects in Food Security and Livelihood/Cash Based Transfer. Johannes has extensive experience at GIZ GmbH, including roles as Head of Project and Advisor for the “Skills Development for Youth in Rakhine State” initiative and as Junior Project Coordinator on various projects in Northern Iraq. Johannes began a professional career with several internships in political and administrative roles, complemented by a Master's Degree in International Relations from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and History from Universität Rostock.
