Alexandra Diem

Alexandra Diem, PhD, has extensive experience in the field of AI, machine learning, and cloud analytics. Alexandra currently holds the position of Head of Cloud Analytics and MLOps at Gjensidige. Prior to this, they worked as a Fagpraksisleder AI & Maskinlæring and Seniorkonsulent at Experis Norway from May 2020 to November 2022. Alexandra also served as a Consultant at Simula Consulting AS from March 2020 to April 2020. Alexandra has a strong research background, having worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Simula Research Laboratory from December 2017 to April 2020, as well as a Visiting Researcher at the University of California San Diego in January 2019 and the University of Cape Town in July 2015. Alexandra completed their doctoral research at the University of Southampton from September 2012 to December 2016 and held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the same institution from January 2017 to November 2017. Alexandra also gained experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Jena, working on the EU funded project NEUNEU.

Alexandra Diem, PhD obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, and Data Science from the University of Southampton, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they received their Diplom degree from Friedrich Schiller University Jena in Bioinformatics, completing their studies from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, they had a study abroad semester at The University of Queensland in 2010, focusing on Bioinformatics.
