Sigurd Syrdal has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Sigurd started in 2002 as a Producer/Journalist at Troll produksjon and worked there until 2004. Then in 2004, they joined JCL Kommunikasjon as a PR Consultant until 2005. In 2006, they worked as a PR Consultant at Responsum kommunikasjon for a few months. From 2006 to 2011, Sigurd worked at Gjensidige where they held different roles including Communication Consultant, Senior Marketing Consultant, and Senior CRM Consultant. In 2013, they became the Head of CRM Customer Strategy and Planning at Gjensidige.

Sigurd Syrdal received a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from BI Norwegian Business School in 2001. Sigurd then went on to obtain a Master's degree in International Communication from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) from 2001 to 2003. In 2008, they completed their Master of Management degree in Project Management, Marketing, and Consulting from BI Norwegian Business School. Prior to that, they pursued studies in political science and history, earning a Cand. mag degree from the University of Oslo from 1997 to 2000. Sigurd also studied history and European Integration at the University of Agder (UiA) in 1996-1997.
