Adrian Bates

Adrian Bates possesses extensive experience in technology management and project leadership within the aerospace and engineering sectors, currently serving as Director of Technology Strategy and Ecosystem Collaboration at GKN Aerospace since January 2010. In this role, Adrian focuses on enhancing collaborative grant funding and aligning technology strategy with business objectives while managing the development of the UK GKN Global Technology Centre. Prior to GKN, Adrian held roles at Airbus as Lead Project Controller for both the Wing & Landing Gear development team and the A380 Wing project, as well as Project Manager at Claverham Ltd, overseeing R&D for flight control systems. Adrian's career began at Dyson, managing projects for innovative vacuum cleaner designs. Adrian holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Wales, Cardiff.
