David Bond

David Bond is a seasoned aerospace engineering executive with extensive experience in leadership roles, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Engineering & Technology at GKN Aerospace since November 2015. At GKN Aerospace, David is responsible for the development and execution of innovative research, technology, and product strategies across the Defense Business Line, overseeing all aspects of product development and continued airworthiness. Prior to this, David held various positions at Messier-Bugatti-Dowty, including Vice President Engineering and Deputy Technical Director of the Landing Gear and Integration Division, where responsibilities encompassed managing engineering teams and ensuring technical oversight. David's career also includes academic experience as a lecturer at the University of Manchester and engineering roles at BAE Systems and the Royal Australian Air Force. David holds a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Surrey and dual Bachelor's degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Sydney and the Australian Defence Force Academy.
