Thomas Kopp

Thomas Kopp has extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, currently serving as the Global Head of Chief Manufacturing Engineering & Industrial Architects for Airbus Structures at GKN Aerospace since November 2013. Previously, Thomas held roles including Global Chief Manufacturing Engineer for the A350 and A330 programs, and Chief Manufacturing Engineer for a multi-program initiative in Munich. Early career experiences include positions at Airbus Helicopters, where Thomas worked on a diploma thesis focused on the manufacturing of hollow composite structures, as well as part-time roles supporting material and process development for composites. Thomas began academia-related positions at Technische Universität München, contributing to research in carbon composites and metal forming. Thomas holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
