Waseem Francis

Waseem Francis has a diverse work experience, having worked at various companies in different roles. Waseem began their career in 2005 as a Senior Systems Analyst at Old Mutual and worked there until 2008. In 2009, they re-joined Old Mutual as an IT Manager and later took on the role of Solutions Architect. Waseem became the Head of Architecture and Enterprise Data Management at Glacier by Sanlam in November 2022. Waseem also held the position of Python Trainer at a private company starting in January 2023. Overall, Waseem has gained expertise in IT management, solutions architecture, and data management throughout their career.

Waseem Francis completed their Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Information Systems at the University of the Western Cape from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued a BComm degree in Management and Economics at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. In addition to their formal education, Waseem also obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in 2022, The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Certified in 2018, and an Artificial Intelligence Engineer certification from Simplilearn (exact dates are not provided).
