Shane McElroy

Shane McElroy is an experienced veterinary professional currently serving as Head of Technical Development at Tirlán since September 2022, and at Glanbia since September 2011. Shane has a background in veterinary practice, having worked as a Veterinary Practitioner and Assistant Vet Surgeon across various firms from 2002 to 2011. Notable roles include membership in the IBR Technical Working Group from 2010 to 2019, contributing to the control of IBR in Ireland. Shane holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Dairy Herd Health from University College Dublin and a BVSc from the University of Liverpool. Additional training includes the Countdown Down Under Adviser Short Course in Melbourne in 2009.
