Antonio Aguilar

Antonio Aguilar has extensive experience in the technology industry. From 2006-2010, they worked as a Research Scientist at DERI, where they developed a healthcare software platform for monitoring patients remotely. In 2010, they moved to Telecom Italia Sparkle as a Java Software Engineer. From 2013-2015, they worked as a Front End Developer for National University of Ireland, Galway, Healthformics, Altocloud and Siren. During their time at Avaya, they were a Senior Front End Developer and UI Designer and was the Tech Lead in the Oceana Workspaces project. Antonio designed the front-end architecture of the Workspaces client and implemented many of the internal components. In 2018, they became a Consultant & Tech Lead at Joulica. Currently, they are a Principal Cloud Architect at Glance Networks.

Antonio Aguilar's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Galway (2009-2012), a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2004-2006), and an Engineer's Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (1999-2003). Additionally, they hold certifications from The Linux Foundation (Cloud Foundry Certified Developer, obtained in October 2021), UX Design Institute (Professional Certificate in Visual Design, obtained in August 2021), and Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g UX Certification, obtained in March 2021).
