E.J. McGowan

E.J. McGowan has over 30 years of experience in the software engineering industry. In 1989, they began their career as a Software Architect at Lotus Development Corporation. In 1997, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Intranets.com. In 2005, they were appointed as the V.P. of Engineering at WebEx Communications, Inc. In 2007, they were the Director of Engineering at Cisco, the SVP of Engineering at Mzinga (formerly KnowledgePlanet), and the Chief Technology Officer at Landslide Technologies. In 2010, they founded Carpe Diem Software and in 2012, they became the Senior Director and General Manager Campaigner at j2 Global. In 2021, they were appointed as the Vice President of Engineering at Glance Networks.

E.J. McGowan attended North Shore High School in West Palm Beach Florida from 1976 to 1979. E.J. then attended Tufts University from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a BA in Computer Science with a focus in Computers.
