James Luciani

James Luciani has extensive work experience in engineering leadership roles. James currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Glance Networks since 2023. Prior to that, they worked in a leadership position at a stealth startup in 2021. From 2019 to 2022, James worked as the Executive Vice President of Engineering at GreatHorn, where they were responsible for leading the development of cloud-native security software and overseeing various teams and operations. Before that, they held the position of Vice President of Engineering at Akamai Technologies from 2013 to 2019, where they played a key role in the creation of products and the development of highly scalable global SaaS infrastructure. James also has experience as a Vice President of Engineering at Ericsson, SpeakEasy Technologies, and Crescent Networks, as well as a Director of Engineering at Bay Networks / Nortel Networks.

James Luciani has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Penn State University. James also holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.
