Richard Bell

Richard Bell is an accomplished political leader and business professional based in Glasgow. Currently serving as a Member of Court at the University of Strathclyde and Deputy Leader of Glasgow City Council, Richard holds multiple influential roles, including City Treasurer and SNP Local Ward Councillor for Govan. Richard is also the Deputy Leader of the SNP Group at Glasgow City Council and a City Ambassador for the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance. Additionally, Richard serves as a Trustee Director at TRINITY RETIREMENT BENEFIT SCHEME LIMITED and a Board Member for City Property (Glasgow) LLP. As Chairperson of the Strathclyde Pension Fund and Director of The Pearce Institute, Richard is deeply involved in community service and governance. Previously, Richard founded and managed Bell & Felix, a local café with an Italian influence, from January 2013 to August 2019.
