Nichol Garzon - Mitchell

Nichol Garzon-Mitchell oversees all legal, compliance and regulatory matters for Glass Lewis. Nichol joined the company in 2004 when Glass Lewis began expanding its international research coverage. Leveraging her fluency in multiple languages and corporate and securities law expertise in both common and civil law jurisdictions, she became the resident expert on corporate governance issues in Latin America and Continental Europe. Nichol was appointed Deputy General Counsel in 2007 and became General Counsel in 2009. Prior to joining Glass Lewis, Nichol worked as a corporate attorney with a prominent law firm in Guadalajara, Mexico. Her practice focused on representing U.S. and other foreign investors in a wide variety of Latin American transactions and providing advice on a broad range of corporate matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Nichol holds an LL.M. in corporate and securities law from Northwestern University School of Law and a J.D. from Universidad Panamericana. She is a licensed member of the State Bar of California and the Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados.
