Sanjay Sawant

Sanjay Sawant has extensive experience in finance and accounting, with a career spanning over 16 years. Sanjay is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Glass Wall Systems since March 2020, where they have provided strategic guidance on financial and administrative issues, implemented policies and internal control systems, and managed funds inflow/outflow and cash flow requirements. Sanjay has also handled audits and assessments by statutory bodies, developed cost and profitability projections, built vendor relationships, and prioritized critical payments.

Prior to their current role, Sanjay worked as the General Manager – Finance & Accounts at Terraform Realty from May 2017 to February 2020. In this position, they gained knowledge in the real estate industry, managed construction projects, streamlined fund-raising processes, monitored sales operations and cash flow, and ensured compliance with local commercial laws.

Before joining Terraform Realty, Sanjay served as the Deputy General Manager – Finance & Accounts at Neptune Developers Limited from May 2014 to April 2017. Here, they adhered to accounting standards, finalized accounts, managed working capital, and worked with auditors and bankers. Sanjay also had experience with SAP modules and conducted month-end closings.

Sanjay has held various other positions in their career, including Head Wholesale Accounts & Consolidation at L&T Infrastructure Finance Co Ltd, DGM – Finance & Accounts at Gammon India Ltd, Asst. Vice President – Finance & Accounts at Indiabulls Real Estate Limited, and Sr. Manager – Finance & Accounts at West Pioneer Properties India Pvt. Ltd. Sanjay has also worked at PlanetM Retail Limited, Godrej Upstream Ltd, and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd in different finance and accounting roles.

Sanjay Sawant's education history begins in 1998 when they attended The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and obtained a Chartered Accountant degree in Accounting and Finance in 2001. In the same year, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) at Mulund College Of Commerce and completed it in 2000. Continuing their education at the same institution, Sanjay earned a Master's degree in Business/Commerce, General from 2001 to 2003.

In terms of additional certifications, Sanjay obtained a Diploma in Information System Audit from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in March 2004.

Recently, in 2021 to 2022, Sanjay enrolled in the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow for an Advanced Programme in Strategy for Leaders, focusing on Corporate and Business Strategy.
