Richard Pines

Richard Pines joined Glassbeam Inc. as a Member of the Board of Directors in October 2021. Mr. Pines founded Structured Alpha Solutions in 2019 to help innovative private and public healthcare companies accelerate the growth of their businesses and achieve their financial and operational objectives.

Previously, in 2008 Richard Pines was a founding partner of Athyrium Capital Management, a fund with ~$3.7B of AUM focused on structured investments in the global healthcare sector, and served as an Investment Partner and member of the fund’s investment committee. During this time, he served on multiple company boards and as a strategic advisor.

Before Athyrium, Mr. Pines worked at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers as part of Global Trading Strategies, a proprietary investment strategy with a focus on healthcare. Mr. Pines began his career as an Analyst in Credit Suisse’s Investment Banking Division focused on healthcare clients. He graduated with a B.S. in both Accounting and Finance from Indiana University.
