Marc R. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Marc is currently working as the Head of DevOps at Glasswall, where they lead and expands the DevOps and SRE team to support the company's growth. Marc'sresponsibilities include owning and driving the strategy for DevOps, working across different departments to improve DevOps practices, and leading the automation of security measures.

Prior to Glasswall, Marc worked at Rolls-Royce in multiple roles. As the Solutions Lead - Software & DevOps, they played a key role in implementing DevOps methodologies and driving improvements in productively and system operations. Marc also served as a Solution & Software Architect, where they led the development and architecture of enterprise systems and coached developers. Additionally, they were the Chief of Engineering Software, responsible for advancing the software development strategy and managing development teams.

Before joining Rolls-Royce, Marc worked as an Engineering Applications Developer at a company. In this role, they developed a common applications framework incorporating CAD geometry generation and finite element analysis. Marc utilized CAD/CAE software, implemented coding in C++, C#, and Python, and managed agile teams.

Marc's earlier experience includes working as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Curtin University and as a PhD researcher and teaching assistant at Loughborough University, where they conducted research and taught computer applications and differential equations.

Marc R. completed their education in a chronological manner. Starting from 2003 to 2006, they attended Loughborough University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics with Computing. Following this, from 2006 to 2010, they further pursued their education at Loughborough University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computational Modelling - Materials Science.

In 2014, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional and also acquired the certification of Server Virtualization with Windows Server Hyper-V and System Center Specialist. Marc R. further expanded their knowledge and skills by achieving several Microsoft certifications such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Designing a Microsoft Azure Data Solution (DP-201), and Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies (AZ-303) in the years 2021 and 2022, respectively. Additionally, they obtained the TOGAF® 9 Certified certification from The Open Group in October 2021.
