Tarah McElroy has considerable experience in human resources and administration. Tarah began their career as a Fulfillment Clerk at the National Republican Senatorial Committee in 1998, where they processed bulk mailings and managed accountables within the department. In 2003, they joined Spherion as a Client Service Representative, responsible for hiring, payroll, orientation, accounts receivable, and employee benefits. Tarah then moved to Glatfelter Insurance Group in 2004, starting as an HR Clerical Assistant. Tarah processed incoming resumes, assisted with recruitment needs, and coordinated various company events and training courses. In 2009, they were promoted to HR Administrator at Glatfelter, handling multi-state payroll, leaves of absence coordination, and disability benefits administration. Their most recent role at Glatfelter was as a Sr. HR Administrator, where they maintained the HRIS, implemented process automation systems, and collaborated with vendors and IT staff to configure and troubleshoot HR, payroll, time and attendance, and performance management systems.

Tarah McElroy attended York Technical Institute from 2000 to 2002, earning an Associate Degree in Business/Office Automation/Technology/Data Entry. In 2014, they obtained the Fundamental Payroll Certification from the American Payroll Association (APA). Later, in 2016, they became a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM.
