Thomas K. Karami

Thomas K. Karami, Ph.D. has an extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Thomas started their career at IOMED Inc. in 2001 as a Research Scientist, focusing on drug delivery. Thomas then moved on to Emisphere Technologies, where they worked as a Scientist II in Formulation until 2003. From 2003 to 2005, they joined Wyeth Research (currently Pfizer) as a Sr. Scientist in Early Development.

In 2005, Dr. Karami joined Allergan, where they held various roles over the years. Thomas started as a Senior Scientist in Preformulation, Early Development until 2006. Thomas then became a Principal Scientist in Early Pharmaceutical Development, where they contributed until 2016. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as an Associate Director, leading the Pharmaceutical Development team.

Currently, Dr. Karami serves as the Principal Quality Scientist at Glaukos Corporation, a role they took on in December 2020. Thomas'sexpertise and experience in the field make him a valuable asset to the companies they have worked for.

Thomas K. Karami, Ph.D. has a strong educational background with a focus on pharmaceutical science. Thomas obtained their MSc. in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Uppsala, Sweden. Building upon this foundation, they pursued further studies and accomplished a Ph.D. in Physical Pharmaceutical Chemistry, also from the University of Uppsala, Sweden.
