David Mittelman

David Mittelman currently serves as the Director of Software Engineering for AI/ML Services at GSK, where responsibilities include providing strategic technical direction and mentoring within the newly formed engineering team. With extensive experience in machine learning and software engineering, David has held multiple roles at GSK, including Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, contributing to significant projects such as gene expression prediction models and Hyperparameter Optimization tools. In addition to the role at GSK, David is involved in several advisory positions, including with Oyster Data and SORCE, and runs a small business, Mountain Monitoring. David co-founded Zume Inc. and 4th Law and has held technical leadership roles at various organizations, consistently focusing on advancing AI/ML technologies. Education includes advanced studies at the University of Connecticut in Systems Engineering, alongside multiple degrees in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, and related fields.
