Maria Avoujageli has over 28 years of experience in quality assurance and compliance within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Director of External Quality for the Americas at GSK since January 2006, Maria has held various roles including Site Quality Director and Manager of QA Value Stream, focusing on operational quality aspects and facility operations. Prior roles at GlaxoSmithKline involved managing QA compliance and microbiology, where responsibilities included oversight of change control, audits, and laboratory operations. Maria's career began at AstraZeneca, where managerial roles in microbiology and master records were held. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology.
