Satyajit Rajapurkar

Satyajit Rajapurkar is a computational biologist with extensive experience in bioinformatics, particularly in the oncology therapeutic area and cancer epigenetics. At GSK from August 2015 to November 2017, Satyajit held roles as an Investigator and Senior Scientist, focusing on target identification, biomarker discovery, and data analysis related to genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic technologies. Prior to GSK, Satyajit worked as a Bioinformatics Analyst at the University of Pennsylvania from January 2014 to August 2015, where responsibilities included managing and processing large sequencing datasets. Satyajit earned a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
