Tom Carter

Tom Carter, PhD, is an AI/ML Engineer II at GSK since October 2025, with previous experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at NewDay and a Machine Learning Lead at Synthesized. Tom holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Elementary Particle Physics from The University of Edinburgh, where research was conducted at CERN analyzing data from the ATLAS Experiment to measure the Higgs Boson precisely. Prior to this, Tom worked as a ski instructor at Skischule Arlberg and held roles as a summer research student and intern at CERN and the University of Liverpool, respectively, contributing to projects such as the development of the LZ experiment's detector calibration system.
