Derek Fredette has extensive experience in safety and emergency management, currently serving as the Security, Crisis and Emergency Management Lead, as well as the Safety Training Lead and Safety and Training Supervisor at Glencore since November 2022. Prior to this role, Derek worked at ANMAR as a Planner/Scheduler from May 2022 to November 2022 and held multiple positions at Vale, including Health and Safety Lead from June 2017 to May 2022 and Safety Supervisor from May 2014 to April 2017. Derek earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Laurentian University and a degree in Mining Technology/Technician from Cambrian College.
