Ilse Schoeters

Ilse Schoeters is an experienced professional in the field of responsible sourcing and product stewardship, currently serving as Co-head of Responsible Sourcing for Metals & Minerals at Glencore since June 2019. In this role, Ilse designs and implements the responsible sourcing program for metals and minerals used in smelting, refining, recycling, and trading. Previously, Ilse held the position of Director of Product Stewardship for Nickel & Cobalt at Glencore, focusing on the production and marketing of these materials. Prior to Glencore, Ilse served as Principal Consultant at Ilse Schoeters Consulting, providing expert guidance on chemical legislation and sourcing initiatives. At Rio Tinto, Ilse contributed as Global Manager for Product Safety and Stewardship for Copper & Diamonds, developing compliance strategies and monitoring chemical legislation on a global scale. Ilse's career also includes roles at the European Copper Institute and Eurometaux, with a solid educational foundation from KU Leuven.
