Kate Brand

Kate Brand is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in dam safety, water resources, and mine waste projects. Currently serving as the Practice Lead for Tailings at Glencore, Kate has previously held leadership roles at BHP, where they established the Engineering Rapid Risk Reduction Dams department, and Newmont Corporation, where their focus was on corporate governance and risk reduction for tailings and water management. Kate has a strong educational background, holding a Master of Engineering Science from UNSW and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management from Charles Sturt University, alongside ongoing studies in Engineering at Queensland University of Technology.
