Julian Daniel has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Julian began their career at Lambda Publications as a Production Manager, where they were responsible for the design, layout, and production of a student newspaper. Julian then joined Steppin' Out Magazine as a Co-Founder and Editor. In 1992, they created the Cinéfest Interactive Movie Guide, an innovative touch-screen guide for a film festival. Julian also served as a Technical Advisor/Writer for South Side Story.

Moving into the technology field, Julian worked at North Star Computer Ltd as an Education Account Executive, Support Manager, and Service and Support Technician. Julian played a key role in supporting Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board's computer systems and expanded North Star's operations throughout Ontario. Julian also had a role as a Network Administrator and Student Information & Network Systems Coordinator at Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board.

In 2012, Julian co-owned and managed Local Foods Mart, a local foods market and café. Julian oversaw various aspects including system design, staff management, vendor relations, inventory control, marketing and promotions, and food handling and preparation. Julian then transitioned to the Glenlyon Norfolk School as the Manager and later Director of Information Technology.

Additionally, Julian held leadership positions at Les Marmitons, serving as Vice President and Secretary, and at the Barrie Film Festival as the Festival Chair. At the film festival, they implemented new program features and expanded the event significantly.

Overall, Julian Daniel has extensive experience in information technology, education, event management, and the food industry.

Julian Daniel attended Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne from 1984 to 1986 and studied Classical Studies/Modern Languages. However, they did not obtain a degree during this time.
