Deena Hartray Butta

Deena Hartray Butta has extensive experience in library services, currently serving as a Reference Librarian and Genealogy Specialist at Glenview Public Library since 1997. Previous roles include Reference Librarian and Genealogy Specialist at NSLS from 2002 to 2011, where Deena facilitated the Genealogy & Local History Librarians Networking Group, and Reference Librarian in Youth Services at Des Plaines Public Library from 1995 to 1997. Earlier in their career, Deena worked as a Senior Cataloger at the Library of the Health Sciences from 1982 to 1985. Deena holds a Master of Library Science with a focus on Cataloging from Dominican University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Philosophy from Northwestern University.
