Andrew Whelan

Andrew Whelan is the Chief Executive Officer at GLI Finance. Andrew was previously the CEO of Sancus Lending Group from September 2013 to July 2021. Sancus Lending Group is an AIM listed niche alternative financial services provider, offering Borrowers property bridging and development finance and Co-Funders a range of attractive, asset backed, risk-adjusted returns. The Group has offices in the UK, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar, staffed by highly experienced teams capable of handling a wide range of lending proposals, from straight-forward bridging and development loans to lending to more complex structures.

The Group has supplied over £1bn of funding to a range of sectors since its launch in 2013.

Sancus Borrowers include fiduciaries, SMEs, high net worth individuals (HNWIs), developers, construction specialists, institutions and entrepreneurs that require fast access to bridging and development finance and secured lending. We offer greater flexibility than the more traditional suppliers of funding.

Sancus Co-Funders include institutions, family offices, trusts HNWIs and private clients looking for attractive, risk-adjusted returns at variable term lengths.
