Kenneth Conroy, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the fields of data science, technology management, and research. Kenneth currently serves as the Director of Data Science at Glia, where they are involved in reinventing how businesses support their customers in a digital world. Previously, Kenneth worked as the VP of Data Science at Finn AI, a conversational banking platform that was later acquired by Glia. Kenneth also held the position of Chief Data Scientist at VIVA Lifestyle & Travel Media, where they managed the tech development of backend components and collaborated with various teams to streamline operational processes. Before that, Kenneth worked as a Data Scientist/Postdoctoral Researcher at Insight Centre for Data Analytics, where they implemented machine learning algorithms for sentiment analysis. Kenneth also pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Dublin City University, where they developed the AREA framework to bridge the semantic gap in sensor data. Additionally, Kenneth gained experience as a Systems Analyst during their university work placement at Intel Corporation, where they worked with various programming languages and developed a new website for the Finance department.
Kenneth Conroy, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Dublin City University, which they obtained between 2008 and 2013. Prior to their doctoral studies, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Software Engineering from the same university in 2008. Kenneth's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Maynooth University, which they completed between 2002 and 2007. Additionally, they have recently obtained a certification as a Certified OKR Practitioner (C-OKRP) - Level 1 from OKR International in 2023.
