Tom Välja currently serves as Engineering Manager at Glia, having joined the Browser Platform team in February 2024. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Hepta Airborne, where Tom led drone operations, transformed the company’s business model, built a sales organization, and managed software engineering efforts to automate infrastructure analysis. Previously, Tom held the position of Engineering Team Lead at Fortumo, focusing on product development and team dynamics. Additional roles include Commercial Helicopter Pilot at Pakker Avio, Founder and Architect at Oasis Solutions OÜ, and educator at the Estonian Aviation Academy. Tom holds multiple degrees, including a CPL in Helicopter Piloting from the Estonian Aviation Academy and a vocational degree in Inland Waters Navigation from the Estonian Nautical School.
