Sharon Osberg

Director at Glide.org

Sharon graduated from Dickinson College and shortly thereafter made a permanent move to the San Francisco Bay Area. Her early career as a computer programmer led to various technical positions in banking, including systems architect, development manager, and ultimately executive vice president in charge of the online division of a major bank. On her watch, the very first financial services internet platform was developed and implemented. Sharon left the corporate world in the early 2000s to pursue her true passions: climate, environmental conservation, and wildlife photography/videography. She’s been fortunate to visit all seven continents many times over. The competitive bridge has been a large part of Sharon’s world and has shaped much of her adult life. She’s a World Grand Master, having won two world championships and five national titles. She retired from a high-level competitive bridge in the mid-1990s to focus on internet development, but she still plays in the occasional national and world tournament. Sharon currently serves on one corporate board; 2 non-profit boards; and is an advisor to a large insurance company.
