Joe Burgess has worked in the ticketing industry since 2012. Theircareer began as a Student Caller for Over the Phone Sales at the Southern Illinois University Foundation, where they raised over $5,000 in under one year. In 2014, they were a Gameday Volunteer for Saluki Sports Properties. In 2015, they worked as a Ticket Sales and Marketing Intern for the Aberdeen IronBirds, where they gained extensive knowledge of ticketing database programs. In 2016, they were promoted to Lead Ticket Sales and Marketing Intern for the IronBirds. From 2017-2019, they held various roles at the Aberdeen IronBirds, including Ticket Operations and Analytics Manager and CRM & Analytics Coordinator. In 2019, they joined the Chicago Cubs as an In-Season Ticket Operations Associate. Since 2018, they have been the Director of Sales & Customer Support at Glitnir Ticketing, where they serve as the primary rep for 12 organizations and as the secondary rep for 9 organizations. Joe also assists the Vice President(s) of Sales and Client Support in the prospecting, pitching, and demonstrating of potential clients looking to transition to the Glitnir Ticketing platform. Additionally, they work directly with the company’s primary Financial Analyst to assist customers with various data needs.
Joe Burgess obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Administration from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2016. Joe also obtained an Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross in March 2016. Prior to this, Joe Burgess attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 2012 to 2016.
