Global Advanced Metals
Global Advanced Metals (GAM) is a fully integrated supplier of tantalum products. Although the GAM name is relatively new, the organization enjoys a 70 year history that includes supplying the highest capacitance and most reliable tantalum capacitor grade powders in the world. GAM produces high purity tantalum and niobium powders for the additive manufacturing 3D printing with metal powders and cold spray technologies. The company also produces many forms of tantalum and niobium metals and their alloys. Our tantalum operations are vertically integrated from the mining and processing of ore through the manufacture of capacitor powders and metallurgical products. This comprehensive integration from mining to end-customer provides long-term, continuous and conflict free supply for GAM’s global customers. GAM is an Australian company where it owns two of the world’s largest tantalum mines. Headquartered in Massachusetts, GAM has regional offices and operations in the United States and Japan to serve customers around the world. Global Advanced Metals is committed to be the most valued supplier through outstanding technology leadership, consistent product quality and stable, long-term, ethical supply. Both the Boyertown, PA (USA) and Aizu (Japan) facilities of GAM were the first of any metals processor to be audited and certified “Conflict-Free” by the EICC/GeSI Conflict Free Smelter program. This 2010 milestone is augmented with annual recertification. GAM supports its customers’ efforts to comply with Section 1502 of the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Our rigorous and ethical sourcing practices are conducted in accordance with the OECD 5-steps Guidance and the EICC Code of Conduct. In addition, the Boyertown facility is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and has been awarded the OSHA VPP Star status. The Aizu facility is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001.
