Austin Jean

Austin Jean currently serves as the Executive Director of Communications for Canada's 2025 G7 Summit at Global Affairs Canada, overseeing all communications for the event. With a strong background in strategic communications and leadership roles, Austin has managed complex re-organizations, led international trade communications efforts, and coordinated key media relations activities. Previous experience includes roles as a press secretary, campaign manager, and communications advisor across various governmental departments, as well as owning a photography business that contributed to social media marketing successes. Austin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies from Trinity Western University and a Certificate in Leadership and Applied Public Affairs from the Laurentian Leadership Centre.
