Darren Hinde

Darren Hinde is a Senior Policy & Research Analyst at Global Affairs Canada, focusing on Brazil and the Southern Cone since February 2022, where responsibilities include research on Brazil's international role and managing Canada-Brazil bilateral relations. Prior to this role, Darren served as a Senior Analyst on Economic Relations, managing the relationship with the World Economic Forum and coordinating Canada's participation in the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. Earlier experience at the Canadian Intellectual Property Office included positions as a Policy Advisor, where expertise developed in patent policy and regulatory implementation, as well as roles as a Policy Analyst and Junior Policy Analyst. Darren Hinde holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from Carleton University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies from Trent University.
