James McNee

James McNee is currently serving as the First Secretary at Canada’s High Commission to Pakistan since January 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Analyst in the Foreign and Defence Policy Secretariat at the Privy Council Office from August 2019 to January 2022, where support was provided to the Prime Minister's advisors on foreign, defence, and national security matters. James also worked as a Senior Researcher and Manager in the International Security and Intelligence Bureau at Global Affairs Canada from October 2015 to August 2019, overseeing projects related to international security policy development. Earlier positions include Program Coordinator in the same bureau, Research Assistant at McGill University, and Junior Officer at the Canadian Permanent Mission to the United Nations. James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from McGill University and has a background in mentorship and leadership from a long tenure at Camp Hurontario.
