Marilou Denis

Marilou Denis is a seasoned professional in international trade and policy, currently serving as the Deputy Director and Head of the Policy Unit at Global Affairs Canada since August 2022. Denis previously held the position of First Secretary for Trade and Economic Policy at the Mission of Canada to the European Union from August 2017 to July 2022. Other notable roles include Deputy Director in the Office of the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Senior Policy Analyst for EU-EFTA Commercial Relations at Global Affairs Canada, as well as Second Secretary for Innovation, Science and Technology at the Embassy of Canada to Japan. Marilou Denis began training in the Japanese language at the Canadian Foreign Service Institute from September 2010 to August 2012 and served as Trade Commissioner for North-East Asia Commercial Relations at DFATD.
