Renee McKenzie

Renee McKenzie possesses extensive experience in international development and gender equality, currently serving as a Special Advisor at Global Affairs Canada since January 2015, with multiple roles focused on grants and contributions, international assistance, strategic communications, and gender equality. Prior to this, Renee worked as a Policy Advisor at the Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations, where responsibilities included supporting Canada's engagement in the 69th UN General Assembly. Additional experience includes a role as a Gender Equality Specialist with DFATD and various analytical positions at the Canadian International Development Agency, contributing significantly to health and gender equality initiatives. Early career experience also includes roles at the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations and Amnesty International Canada. Renee holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Justice from the University of Regina.
