Shalini Anand

Shalini Anand holds a significant position in the field of international relations and trade, currently serving as the Assistant Deputy Minister for the Americas at Global Affairs Canada since September 2019. Anand has held various leadership roles, including Director General of the Trade and Export Controls Bureau and Director of Export Controls Operations. Previous experience includes diplomatic positions as Head of Political Relations for India and Bhutan at the High Commission of Canada in India, and as Consul at the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong & Macao. Anand's career at Global Affairs Canada commenced in 2007, with roles including Executive Advisor and Trade Commissioner.
