Shira Goldberg has extensive experience in international relations and trade, currently serving as a Trade Commissioner and Advisor at Global Affairs Canada since 2016. Prior to this role, Shira worked at the Embassy of Canada to China as Second Secretary and Vice-Consul from 2013 to 2016 and was a Senior Visiting Scholar at Peking University as part of the Canada China Scholars' Exchange Program in 2011-2012. Shira's earlier experience includes serving as a Policy Analyst within the North America Policy and Relations Division at Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada from 2009 to 2011 and as Locally-Engaged Staff at the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC, from 2006 to 2009. Shira holds a BA in Political Science and History from McGill University, an MSc in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and was a Senior Visiting Scholar in Chinese Studies at Peking University.
