Penjani Mkambula is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in global leadership, strategy development, and programme management in the field of food fortification and nutrition. Currently serving as the Deputy Director of Programmes and Senior Cluster Lead at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) since December 2013, Penjani oversees significant initiatives that benefit over 1.2 billion people annually. Previous roles include Cluster Lead for Food Fortification and Senior Manager of Food Quality, Safety, and Procurement at Crown Agents, along with various positions focused on business support, marketing, and sales management at companies such as VALID Nutrition, the University of Derby, BOC Group Plc, and Unilever. Penjani holds a degree from the University of Liverpool.
