Dee Smith serves as the Board Chair of LLILAS/Benson Latin American Studies and Collections at the University of Texas at Austin and has been a member of Chatham House since May 2020. As CEO and Principal of Strategic Insight Group, established in 1995, Dee Smith leads a global private intelligence agency catering to investors, attorneys, and companies. In addition, Dee Smith is the Executive Producer, Creator, Writer, and Host of the television series "A World On The Brink," which explores global issues through expert interviews. Active in various organizations, Dee Smith is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Bretton Woods Committee, and has held multiple leadership roles within the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations and LLILAS/Benson Latin American Studies.

Global Americans
Global Americans is an independent, nonpartisan think tank committed to providing valuable research and analysis for government officials, business executives, journalists, academics, and others interested in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our mission is to contribute towards a deeper understanding of how public and business policy decisions in the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean and elsewhere impact each other and the region. Founded in 2015, Global Americans operates from New York City and Washington, DC, and focuses on providing content virtually to remain accessible for leaders, thinkers, and other stakeholders across the Western Hemisphere. It is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, funded through non-governmental sponsorship and individual donations. This independent funding allows Global Americans to remain strictly nonpartisan and take no institutional positions on matters of policy.
