Samuel Ramos is currently the Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel & Secretary at Global Atlantic Financial Group. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director & Assoc General Counsel for Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group from May 1998 to April 2013. In this role, they were responsible for advising on all aspects of managing and operating regulated entities in multiple jurisdictions. Samuel also has experience in Securities Regulation, including application to insurance products.

Before their time at Goldman Sachs, Ramos worked as an Associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP from August 1992 to May 1998. During their time there, they were primarily responsible for corporate finance transactions for foreign issuers. These transactions included registered and unregistered equity and debt offerings. Samuel also gained experience with asset-backed and structured finance transactions as well as banking transactions, including loans and credit facilities and derivative transactions.

Samuel Ramos has a Juris Doctor from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, a Masters of Science in Finance for Executives from University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education, a Masters of Science in Systems Engineering from New York University Tandon School of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Samuel Ramos reports to Allan Levine, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer. They work with Kim Lee - Chief Financial Officer, Padma Elmgart - Chief Technology Officer, and Dan O’Shea - Chief Human Resources Officer.
