Nevena Slović

Nevena Slović has a diverse work experience in various research and communication roles. Nevena started as a Research Intern at IGBMC in 2020, focusing on the role of inflammatory cytokines in melanoma. Nevena then served as an English Teaching Assistant at the University of Strasbourg and as a member/leader of the Scientific Team at iGEM Strasbourg. Nevena held positions at IPCB and Génétique Moléculaire Génomique Microbiologie before becoming a PhD Candidate at Inserm Institute for Translational Medicine and Liver Disease. Nevena also worked as a Head of Marketing & Communications and Social Media Director at Global Biotech Revolution, where they crafted marketing strategies and monitored social media engagement. Currently, they are the Coordinator at Réseau Biotechno.

Nevena Slović completed their high school diploma in Life Sciences and Mathematics at Gimnazija Priboj, Serbia, in 2016. Nevena then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Strasbourg in 2019. Following this, Nevena pursued a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics at the University of Strasbourg from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, they obtained a Biosafety Level 3 Certification from the Inserm Institute for Viral and Liver Diseases, University of Strasbourg in 2022. Nevena also spent time studying Life Sciences: Biochemistry at Imperial College London in 2018-2019 and Biochemistry at the Petnica Science Center in 2012-2016.
